SIGN OUR PETITION

27 Jan

those are just some of the 50’000 reasons why to sign!

Please sign the petition against the mistreating and killing of the galgos in Spain!

We hope this petition will put pressure on the Spanish government to put its animal welfare laws into practice and start enforcing them like every other EU country has to. Several animal welfare charities have joined PRO-GALGO as co-authors on this petition so we are hoping it will make a real impact.

Find the petition here, or click on “sign petition” in the menu bar above.

The barbaric treatment of these beautiful, gentle animals must stop now. I will not go to Spain or buy Spanish products until these unspeakable acts of cruelty stop.

Please stop mistreating any living thing – it damages the reputation of any country wishing to be considered a civilised nation. There is no need to treat animals cruelly and any decent government should take steps to stop the thugs in their society from behaving in such a barbaric fashion.
Please heed the the message all who sign the petition are trying to send to you.

What year are we living in? Why are these absolutely horrific and barbaric acts allowed to continue? We should be disgusted of ourselves as a human race.

I complete this with my podenco cross laid next to me calm, warm and deeply loved. Before he came to us he was terrified of anything and everything that moved. He was one of the lucky ones who got out of Spain and it breaks my heart to know how many more dogs there are still there being beaten and starved. This barbaric behavious has to stop.

The Spanish Government should, without delay, pass laws against this cruelty.
Perhaps if more Brits living in Spain were to do something too whilst there or even better – hit the Spanish where it hurts – their pockets. Stop taking holidays in Spain!

Why oh why do the majority of the Spanish take great pleasure in mistreating animals, they are obviously cowards. No 4 legged or winged friend is safe from their cruelty.

A country which allows torture and cruelty to be inflicted on animals, whether for “entertainment”,profit,or sheer sadistic tendencies,is one which forfeits any claim to be recognised as civilised, compassionate,or progressive.
This primitive brutality must be brought to an end.
