BELLA: ONE OF THE WORST CASES SO FAR

23 Apr

This is the story of BELLA.

She was found this week in a terrible condition. She has Leishmania, is terribly malnourished, has infected wounds, is covered in ticks and so has a tick disease, mange and anemia, and to top it all has been hit by a car causing the large wounds 😦

BELLA is around 6 years old and has obviously led a terrible life. Initially it was thought she should be put to sleep, but the carers thought that she was such a loving dog and has such a will to live that she should be given the chance to recover and live the life she deserves, if only for a short while.

BELLA is a sweet and calm girl and coexists without problems with dogs, cats and people. She is not scared, in spite of everything she is very glad to be saved, and is sympathetic and sociable.

We are looking for an URGENT foster home for BELLA so that she doesnt have to remain in the kennels whilst she recovers, and of course ultimately a permanent home for this beautiful girl.

We also desperately need donations to help pay for her veterinary treatment for all the health problems that she is facing.

Please paypal any donations to pro-galgo@total-barcelona.com

or see the “how to help” page if you want to send a cheque.

THANKYOU

Words fail me that a dog can be left in such a state.
Did no one notice her in this state before. She must have been like this for some time! Thank heavens she
was finally found. I know that she can’t come to the UK with Leishmania so maybe some wonderful person on the continent will take her. I will donate some money to help with her treatment. It is the very least I can do to help this beautiful girl.

I wonder how many people passed this little girl or crossed the street so they would’nt have to look at her. Im so ashamed to be part of the same race. Please pull through and be happy, loved and comfortable for as long as possible beautiful Bella xx

As a member of Galgo-sos in Denmark i am not surprised of the pictures of this poor poor little life in form of a dog. I already donate a lot to the communiti en Denmark, but feel i have to do just a little for this galgo too. How can i donate a little for her treatment? Is i possible to hear more about her, when i pay a little for her?
Best wishes for you in Pro-Galgo and Bella.

I’m Vivi and i’m the new mom of Bella in France. She feels very well and she is really an adorable galga, very soft and very tender.
I am impressed by the mobilization around her case. It is necessary to continue to speak about the galgos around us.
If you want to have its news, you can go on my site. There are recent photographs!!

Hi, I know it is very old post, but can anyone give me the web-adress of the page about Bella? I ‘m from Cyprus, I have a dog that was offered foster home in the UK, but blood test confirmed leishmania and foster home fell through. He is living in the shelter, which is a horrible place. He is chained and the chain is so short that he stands in his own poop. I wish I could contact Viva and show people that they respond to the treatment and deserve to be adopted. He is in non-kill shelter, which means he will spend years suffering, all alone, till he dies. Brings tears to my eyes. Anyone can help with advise? Please?
