THE VETTEAM AT WORK

ETN Germany and Perros de Catalunya organised a campaign where over 5oo dogs and cats could been castrated. thausands of unwanted litters have been avoided thanks to this surgeries.

Not only the abandoned streetdogs but also the dogs of the nearby villages could be operated free of charge. to our surprise, spanish people accepted the offer to operate their dogs quiet well and the press and tv also was interested in the german-bulgarians vetteams work.

Our galgos,, the ones saved a few days earlier from Jerez killing station, also have been brought to the shelter in Jumilla (Murica) where the international vets took very good care of them. 11 dogs operated in less than 2 hours, amazing!

The surgery minimal, the dogs and cats recover in less than  2 hours and the very next day they can make a normal life without the need of medication or vetchecks, specialy interesting for street dogs and cats. the animals get a 72h deposit shot of antybiotics and a strong painkiller so they do not want to lick the wounds.

The PRO-GALGO dogs are recovering prfectly well from the surgery and so the dogs saved from the killingstation in Jerez are nearly ready for adoption

Thanks to all for helping the galgos! MUCHAS GRACIAS A TODOS!

Absolutely brilliant and amazing work by the vets and their team. Hopefully the Spanish people who brought their dogs to be cut will put word about that all dogs and cats should be castrated, and then the abandoned dog and cat problem would be greatly reduced.

And congratulations to Pro Galgo for helping the Jerez galgos they rescued, now just need to find homes for them!

    Well don.
