DON JUAN: they cut out his microchip!!

25 Jan

Poor galgo DON JUAN was found with infected wounds in his neck from the removal of his microchip, open infected pads and swollen infected testicles. He was found wandering in a cemetary and has been seen around the area in Seville since at least December.

Sadly despite his carer Fatima doing all she can Don Juan is extremely ill with pneumonia. He is very weak with horrible green diarrhoea and vomiting every time he eats something. This could be as a result of liver failure from eating trash or could be hepatitis. His pneumonia seems to be improving a little but the chronic haemorrhagic gastroenteritis is causing all his current problems.

Please keep all your thoughts with Don Juan as he fights to survive.

Yet another exampel of the horros faced by dogs in Spain. Enough I say enough. It is heartbreaking it has been enough ever since I heard of the first cases of maltreatment and murder of these gentel sighthounds. Eventhough coregous people try to save as manny as possibel there will still be the evil impotent bastards who committ these henious acts. The overbreeding and constant mistreatment has to stop but if the people of Spain are not willing to stop it then how can the rest of us hope to have it stopped? Sure we can sign petitions we can adopt the odd galgo we can support the private shelters to the best of our abillities but what we can´t do is change the mindset of those committing these unspeakabel acts of evil that has to come from within the spaniards themselves. Rest asured I will always speak up against cruelty and murder of any animals anywhere in the world and try to alert as manny as possibel to the plight of greyhounds and galgoes I will try to make as much of diffrence as possibel by being a voice for those without one. Most sincerly Lisbeth Mønsted Larsen Greyhound Action Denmark.

Absolutely unbelievable. Perhaps if enough people worldwide stopped purchasing products from Spain and let the officials know that is what is happening and why it may spike their attention.

Thanks Lisbeth for all you do. This is such a heartbreaking story. Don Juan is in my thoughts and prayers. I hope he makes a full recovery and is given the love he so deserves. I cannot type what I think of the person/s responsible for this. In brief: they are evil and I really hope what goes around comes around. Other than that, Peace and love to all who are good. x

Oh dear god. Sending you love and strength Don Juan.
I’m sat here watching my beautiful Lurcher cuddled up with my geriatric cat and wondering how these ‘people’ could bypass the obvious grace, intelligence and love that these longdogs exude in copious amounts. I can only asume ‘they’ have something drastically missing.
    Utterly sickening.
Come on Don Juan – fight lil’ doggy.
